Universal Fastener Outsourcing, LLC (UFO) will replace any Ballistic NailScrews®/PneuScrews® with PT2000® and PPG1500™ coated, ACQ Rated, Wood, Composite, or stainless steel exterior screw that corrodes under any of the conditions described below that are applicable to that screw. The obligation of UFO under this warranty shall be limited to replacement of corroded or otherwise defective screws used for normal residential, non-commercial applications.
UFO warrants, to the original retail purchaser of its PT2000® and PPG1500™ coated or stainless steel exterior screws, that those screws will not corrode due to exposure to normal environmental conditions or to corrosives contained in treated lumber, or plastic/wood composite decking material. Please note: Stainless steel screws are the only UFO products warranted for use on or near the water, such as for docks, boardwalks or piers.
UFO warrants, to the original retail purchaser of its PT2000® and PPG1500™ coated exterior screws, that those screws will not corrode due to exposure to normal environmental conditions or to corrosives contained in CCA pressure treated lumber, mahogany, teak, Ipe, Pau Lope®, or Ironwoods®.
UFO warrants, to the original retail purchaser of its PT2000® and PPG1500™ coated exterior ACQ Rated and Composite screws, that such screws will not corrode due to exposure to normal environmental conditions, or to corrosives contained in any of the materials listed in the preceding paragraph, or to exposure to chemicals used, as of January 1, 2007, in pressure treated lumber formulations designated as ACQ, MCQ, Copper Quat, or Copper Azole types CBA-A and CA-B.
This warranty is not transferable. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to arrange and to pay for the return to UFO of any screws to which this warranty applies, along with a completed warranty registration card, photos of project, and proof of purchase.
UFO shall not be liable for any installation or re-installation costs or incidental or consequential damages, and UFO shall have no further obligations hereunder except as expressly stated above.
Note: Some wood species like Cedars and Redwoods may cause bleeding and are not covered under this warranty although Ballistic NailScrews® may still work in projects using these wood species (use Stainless Steel where bleeding is a concern).
WARRANTOR DOES NOT MAKE ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OF THE PRODUCT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES THAT EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION IN THE FACE HEREOF.
